Dr. Kathy Tieu at Clinical Skin Center of Northern Va is wonderful. I live in Falls Church, but don't mind driving to Fairfax for my skin checks. It's the first place I have found with a focus on skin health rather than mostly appearance and cosmetics.

+1 for this practice, although I know OP originally asked for a female doc. If you are flexible on that, I highly recommend this place. Dr. Stashower treated my son for recurring staph infections, and they were so good to him.

I had a good experience with Dr. Faria at Excel Dermatology. They take many different insurances and it doesn't take months to get a new patient appointment.

Does anyone have a female dermatologist in close-in VA that they love?
I'm not concerned with cosmetic issues or acne. I just need a vigilant and knowledgable mole-checker for yearly screenings.
