Tear down. Even if you remodel, the layout is small, ceilings are small and the basement isn't pretty. I wouldn't throw 250k into remodeling this. I'd rather tear down and build a 300k NDI home here.

That's a cute little house. The kitchen needs to be updated, and the paneling in the basement needs to go, but I like it. I wonder what the bathrooms look like? I'm assuming they're tiny, but it's weird there's no pictures of them.

That is a large lot for inside beltway!
the house is NOT a shitshack. I would buy it and bump out the back. expand the kitchen, family room areas as well as master.
buy it for $600K, add $250K for the addition and you are still well under priced for the area.
I think its a steal to be honest.

Agree. 10,000 sq ft is a huge lot inside the Beltway in Bethesda.
Our "lot" was nearly $700k.
My lot is 8800 sq ft inside the beltway in Bethesda and I will tell you it's small. There is about 16 feet between houses on each side, which is not very much - it's basically 8 feet from the lot line. Our lot is smaller than many so a 10,000 sq ft lot is not huge, even in Bethesda.

I like the house. Needs remodeling but that is not a shack. Now, mine was a shack when we got it. That is far nicer.

$675 in the WJ district (Wyngate) is desirable, but this house isn't desirable. I think I'd consider it a tear down, but I think it's a shame because only someone truly affluent will be able to afford this.
