DH loves his NEST temp control thing! He just bought himself the NEST fire alarm too (another idea). Fellow DW in desperate search for cool gadget ideas... that he hasn't already bought...

Just got delivery of the Filson hat I ordered for him. It was hard to find any size XXL hats. Looks even better than I expected. http://www.filson.com/products/tin-cloth-insulated-packer-hat.60016.html?fromCat=true&fvalsProduct=mens/hats-and-caps&fmetaProduct=1011

Also I splurged for him a new Tumi suitcase.

Kitchen appliances go to me, kitchen gadgets go to my DH. He loves little gimicky things, not only in the kitchen, but usually the kitchen ones end up being the ones that we continue to use.

Lots of men love a good grill. I saw an awesome looking one that uses wood pellets and you use it as a smoker also and buy different kinds of wood to give the food different flavors. It was a demo at Costco.

I’m quite particular about what I gift to people – I love the idea of gifting something that they'll use as opposed to leaving it to the side to collect dust. I particularly like purchasing kitchen appliances for female relatives, most of them know their way around the kitchen and love the idea of me gifting something they can use everyday. For male relatives, I tend to buy fishing vouchers and just basic of interest, I've found men are a lot easier to shop for.

This Christmas gift guide is decent, collating quite a few ideas which I’m sure a few people could make use of – I already have

What are you planning to give your DH for Christmas/Hannukah this year, or what great gift have you given in the past? I'm drawing a blank this year and find men in general harder to buy gifts for than women. Also, we live overseas (so no tickets to a sporting event, etc.), so I will likely order something online.
