I had a baby last Thursday. Came home Saturday and my next door neighbor had dropped off a chocolate bundt cake. I don't know WHAT she did to this cake but I had a piece this morning and it is still beyond moist. I need to ask her her recipe. It's freaking delicious.

I'm guessing that a "solid" cake isn't very moist?

Moist = not dry

Hey OP and knowledgeable posters…when OP means "moist" does s/he (although I suspect "she" due to the word "crave") mean that kind of chewy stuff…like Betty Crocker SuperMoist Devil's Food cake? LOVE THAT

However, I don't like cakes that are commonly served in restaurants that sort of feel like solid, or whipped, butter with cocoa in them. That's not what "moist" means, right?

I use the just the cake recipe from this one. I make it plain or with a little ganache on top but its super super moist and great as cupcakes too.
