Seems like plenty to make fruit salad with.

Not in season--just because they have them at the store (shipped in from South America) doesn't mean they're in season.

This. How about pears or apples, either are good sliced or warmed in a chunky compote.

They are in season because they are all currently being harvested in the United States. You know a lot less about agriculture than you think.

Fried apples is classic southern breakfast food. Use as much butter and brown sugar as you are comfortable with.

How about a dried fruit compote? Served warm plain or with whipped cream.

I really dislike fruit salad.
What about some kind of sauteed apples - I saw rachel ray carmelize apples once - you could serve that with granola and yogurt?

Citrus is starting to come in season - I like peeled and sectioned citrus (grapefruit and oranges) with chopped dates to add some sweetness.

I made this winter fruit salad for Chirtmas brunch one year and it was a huge hit: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/11/winter-fruit-salad/

We are having a few families over for brunch, and while I would usually make a giant fruit salad, everything except apples seem to be out of season. Ideas? I'm happy to incorporate apples if someone has a suggestion for a dressing or syrup that would increase the excitement...
