Your best bet for Christmas Eve dinner is one of the big hotels that caters to tourists. Just make sure to set it up in advance and make sure that it is walking distance from where you are staying.
Ah, I read this wrong and was thinking Christmas Day, when literally everything is closed. Christmas Eve you might have better luck, but many things are still closed or close early. Find a local in your daughter's neighborhood and stick close to home. In the UK, Christmas is a private, family holiday much more so than in the US.
