I had my husband cook. I just could not bring myself to do it.

I've been eating a lot of perogis (frozen section). Potatoes and starch have gotten me through the past 12 weeks of my third pregnancy. The kids have been eating a lot more convenience foods because I can't even look at raw meat, let alone cook it. Chicken tenders, fish sticks, and grilled cheese or quesadillas are popular right now. I do a green smoothie every morning for all three of us, complete with yogurt and calcium fortified organics juice, which gets all of us some more protein and some veg. Oatmeal for breakfast also helps--I make it with half milk and half water for more protein and calcium.

Oatmeal has a decent amount of protein with some fresh fruit. You could always buy some frozen pasta entrees (lasagna etc) for the kiddos. Black beans and rice. It doesn't have to be super spicy but that is also easy prep that does not include raw meat which is I'm sure not something you want to handle when you already feel awful.

OP here - Ha! I just went to the grocery store and realized as I was unpacking my groceries that I bought 5 variations of potato products. Thanks for the soup idea. That's a good one. And I'll try smoothies too. And I'm sad I didn't see your frozen pretzel idea until now. Those are on my list for next time! Thanks!

I had this with all three pregnancies and had a very hard time cooking. What worked for me. A lot of potatoes. Make twice baked potatoes and top with whatever sounds good for you ( cheese, broccoli, bacon, chili). Frozen pretzels dipped in peanut butter, mustard, etc make a fun snack an has a decent amount of protein. ( my ob's suggestion). Smoothies fill a good void and can be quick and easy. When I am feeling lazy, I do a lot of smoothies and very one loves them. Add a chicken nugget or two and some cut up cheese cubes and call it a day. Soup always was easier for me to stomach and you can make a huge variety of things that are kid friendly on te weekend so when you feel too nauseous to cook, you can jut heat it up. Hopefully it passes soon and you can enjoy your food again!! I completely understand your pain

The title says it all. I stay home with my 3yo and 10month old and I'm 7 weeks pregnant with #3. If my other pregnancies are any indication, this will only last a few more weeks, but I'd love some ideas of bland-ish (so I can stomach them), easy to prepare foods that we could all eat for dinner. My one idea so far is frozen chicken nuggets, baked potato and microwave broccoli (buy it pre-washed and trimmed). Other ideas like this would be appreciated, until I'm able to stomach normal food shopping and prep again. Especially protein ideas. We're also doing a lot of takeout, TIA.
