Other parent, any sucess in getting a tour or response from woodmore. A parent did acknowledge they thought that the class sizes are large like 30. But not a bad school at all compared to other schools. I guess u would have to see if ur child can thrive in a large class setting.

Seriously, if the principal is not responding immediately, then don't expect that to get any better if you enroll your child there.

I must admit I have contacted the school and have been unsuccessful in getting a tour appointment. The secretary did say the principal is the contact person to schedule an appointment and not the office. I am going to try to call back but have been unsuccessful. If you get there before me please post back.

I'm 13:48. For PP, even if you haven't moved yet make an appt to check it out. Do so before they start testing. I found that principals do not want to do tours or meet with parents during testing season. And, you don't see anything then anyway.

Bump
OP did you go visit? What were your impressions? We are looking to move to that area and that would be our school as well.

Woodmore sounds like a good school, if you have a chance go visit and take of tour of the school.

I'm rarely on here so this post is very late. My daughter attends Woodmore and we love it. The principal and staff are great! The test scores are good and the teachers are dedicated. The school has low teacher turnover and what my daughter is learning in kindergarten now is blowing my mind. The class room sizes are 30 or below but that's my only concern and that's across the board in the county.

I would say great schools should have some reviews but not many of them are current. Hopefully a parent or someone who knows someone will be on the forum to help. Being in the area it is in I would think that it should be a good school. Maybe class sizes are large.

We are looking at moving to PG county and the house would be in boundary for Woodmore Elementary School. Any opinion on the school? Any parents have children that attend? She will be going to first grade!
