Wegmans has slab bacon at the deli counter and they will slice it as thick as you like.

OP, if you want to cut your own lardons it is lots easier if you freeze the bacon before cutting. I have bought thick cut bacon at Wegman's.

I buy thick cut bacon from the butcher at Whole Foods. It's smoked and sliced, but the slices are just a little thicker than those of Oscar Meyer.

It's also freaking delicious. I am far from picky about brands, and generally buy what's on sale, but I go to Whole Foods largely for the bacon.

Where do you get your thick cut bacon? I found the smoked and sliced type but never saw the thick cut one.

Just use cubed thick cut bacon. Lardons are just pork/pork fat.

Trader Joe's carries Cubed pancetta but couldn't find Lardons.
