Agreed. We used an inspector who was recommended by our agent. I've also seen him recommend in many other places. He was great and provided us with a very long and comprehensive list of issues with our new house.
I'd give you his name, but, our old house is under contract and we are in the inspection period and I do NOT want out buyer using him.
