OP here--yeah some of the ingredients are expensive but I also found it easy to substitute things without compromising the taste. For example, some of the recipes call for specialty flours and/or gluten free ingredients and bc we do not have gluten sensitivities, I just use our regular flour.

GP = zzzzz. I don't want to see her bony ass while I'm cooking! $43 for a jar of honey? How absurd.

The recipes are good but there are so many pics of her (more than of the food) and some of the healthy ingredients she uses are really expensive (Manuka honey-$42.99 for an 8 oz. jar!!!). Very out of touch with reality Hollywood attitude. It's actually kind of funny, but yes, some of the recipes sound great and are pretty simple. I made a kale soup if I remember correctly and it was good.

Tandoori Turkey.

This book turned me on to eating turkey as a similar substitute to chicken and pork.

Turkey is cheaper than chicken or pork, too.

OP here--yeah, I personally always found her annoying and out of touch with reality. I had low expectations for the cookbook and was pleasantly surprised by how many recipes I liked!

Never tried because her prose made me lose my appetite.

I received "It's all Good" as a gift and I was very skeptical about the cooking skills of Paltrow but I have been very impressed. I've tried 5 recipes so far and they will all be making it onto our menu rotation. Just curious to see if others have tried her recipes as well.
