I got some at Target, quilted with silicone on the palm section. I don't know the manufacturer, but I've been happy with them.

I LOVE our Oxo Good Grips oven mitts (bought them on Amazon). They have silicone over cotton. I still prefer the cotton squares for grabbing a pot lid, but these oven mitts are what I want when taking something out of the oven. Haven't had a problem with them getting slippery.

hate those things! If they get oil on them, they get really slippery.

I've moved from cloth to some kind of magic synthetic claw thing that I love. Totally protects hands, and you can just clean in the sink instead of the laundry. They come in fun colors, too. I'll find a link to amazon on post. I love them!

Am putting together my holiday list and want to get someone really high quality pot holders. I have one from Williams Sonoma, but am not impressed (doesn't protect against really high heat). I was thinking non-silicone, but do I have to do silcone to deal with the high temps?
