I'd think it was cheesy.

I think it really depends on what your sex life is like.

If it's not all you want, and you are using this as an excuse to give her a gift that you are hoping will change things, then I would think no, that's not appropriate for an anniversary gift. Fine to give her as a gift, but not as an anniversary gift.

But if you guys have a highly sexually charged marriage and when you think of your lovely wife and what she might like, you think, "sexy underwear!" and she will receive it in that spirit, then it seems A-OK to me.

I think his real present for you comes after you don the first gift.

"I like sex, too." The voice of the minority of DCUMers.

+1

Face it, it is not for her.

Personally, I would like to see some effort. Something romantic is always appropriate so I will not be upset with some really lovely lingerie. So, nice dinner, nice wine, jewellery or perfume AND the sexy lingerie.

I do not mind if DH does not take me to a fancy restaurant and instead brings home chinese take out...but the presentation is important. So, light up some candles, serve the take-out in nice dishes, pour her some nice wine, put some music on, slow dance with her, soft kisses...and tell her that you are the luckiest man to have married her. A woman needs to be shown that she is loved and her husband cares for her.

And clean up afterwards. What will be her anniversary gift to you? That's where the lingerie comes into play.

Sexy underwear? Is it too much of a gift for the guy? What would you prefer? Under $100
