I always want to invest in higher-end heels and flats for work but it seems like no matter whether I spend $200 on a pair of Cole Haans or $50 on a mid-level brand at Marshalls, they wear out and look crummy after a while all the same. Maybe I'm just hard on my shoes but I can't imagine anything would be fundamentally better about a higher-end pair to make them last longer - unless you never wear them outside but that's unrealistic.

Honestly, $100-$200 every 12 months for a pair of shoes you wear almost every day doesn't sound like too much...

Do you wear your heels during your commute to/from work? I think no matter what brand you buy, you have to limit wear of them to inside the office only, otherwise the heel is bound to get damaged.

Cole Haans are very comfortable and way more affordable than Louboutins.

Yes. Very well made and beautiful. Some people take pills to get happy; when i put on CLs, I instantly smile.

I am on the market for a great pair of high-end black high heels. I wear them almost everyday and work in a professional environment and want something that will withstand wear and tear. I am sick of spending $100-$200 every 12 months or so on a new pair. Is CL worth the money? Are they comfy? Any other recs?
