I assume they were pre-finished? I don't think there is much he can do, even if he were willing.
We are going to get ours refinished when the kids are older, but we went with sand-in-place floors.

Not previous poster but I have a similar issue and new to these floors... how would you attempt to buff them out?

The scratches sound like they're in the surface. So while they might be annoying to you because you know where they are and your eye seeks them out, they're probably not that visible to others. Also, they would buff right out. You wouldn't need to sand the floors to get them out, which is good for resale.

He won't fix them but you should ask for tips on caring for them. PP is right about waxing and buffing. You should be waxing those floors regularly -- they're extremely high maintenance.

Do not ask him to fix that. Wood floors get scratches and dents. It's a fact of life.

I wouldn't have gone with Brazilian cherry, it's not going to hold up to the wear and tear of 3 kids without constant waxing & buffing.

Brazilian Cherry floors, paid a lot of money (in my world) for them, and they already have some small scratches and dents.
The scratches seem really surface level, are thin and white. Some were caused by the movers. I'm not sure what caused the dents, but in a house with 3 boys, I'm sure something was thrown/dropped/or kicked.
The floors are about 3 months old, the installer is coming out to fix something else (his error), can I ask him to fix these things too? I'm thinking once the floors are ours, they're ours (no warranty covers playing catch with a heavy object), but it also seems so sad to have problems this early on
