I can sympathize with this. I share a very small office with a 50 something man. When I get a minute alone, I try to make my doctor phone calls. And yes, it's hard when you have to then wait for the call back, when I might not be able to answer. But the posters who are pointing out the nurse is doing her job (which goes beyond phone calls) are correct. There are patients in the office and they spend several hours a day returning calls. Patience goes a long way in this process. I am going to ask about using email because that seems much easier...I write when I can, you respond when you can, I read when I can...

I'm interested to know what you do for a living that you expect to be addressed when you have time and disregard when it's convenient for others. Are you a toddler? What exactly do you think your "paying so much" entitles you to a beck and call nurse and physician? This is optional treatment.

I've had 3 different nurses at SG and they've all been excellent! Must be you.

Because she has a set schedule and a long list if people to call back each day. She might be on the phone with someone else when you call. Just leave a message and she'll pull your file, research your question, and call you back.

Your nurse has other patients - she is not at your beck and call.

Have you tried email? My nurse sends very clear and concise emails to my questions.

She doesn't know the answer and needs to ask the doctor. I agree with PP, ask the doctor.

I"ve been to GW and CFA and found the staff to be ignorant, it's best to ask your RE directly unless they are too busy to answer your questions.
