I like Harris Teeter's pickup option - they are less than a mile from my house and the $4.95 fee pays for itself because I don't impulse buy. I can see everything I've bought in the last few months, with sale prices indicated. I prefer to pick up because in my few experiences with Peapod (quite a while ago) I ended up with tons of bins and coolers to store until next time. With H-T, you set a window that's convenient to you (and it's not a problem if you're late to pick up, by minutes or hours). If you're going to charge more than $5, I wouldn't do it.

I'm very very very picky about my produce and no way in hell would I use peapod. Harris Teeter is too expensive and often does not carry the produce i get at Wegmans.

If you are an individual, there is no way you could possibly make money on this plan as the grocery store fees for doing this are way too low already.

Giant and Safeway will bring things right to your door for $10.

If you could do a one-hour turnaround on delivery, I might be interested.

Like PP said, a lot of grocery stores offer delivery. Pay online and then they bring it to your house. I'd much rather do that than shop online and have to drive to the store and wait for my stuff to be loaded.

And if I did want to do that, I would only use it if it was directly tied to the store, not some 3rd party type of thing.

Pay right from your phone at the time of your pick up and get your groceries loaded for you without you leaving a car.

I would greatly appreciate your feedback and answers to the following questions:

1. Would you be interested in this service? If yes, how often would you use it? How much would you be willing to pay for it?

2. Have you ever tried any grocery delivering services currently available on the market? What was your experience? If the proposed service will provide a better shopping experience and will cost less, would you consider “driving” to the store over convenience of home delivery?

3. Have you used any shopping/grocery mobile/web apps? Which one would you recommend and which one you would love to be integrated with the proposed service.
