Congratulations! It is okay to allow a petite indulgence every once in a while.

I understand. But never feel shame.

Thanks all! It does feel good but now that I'm on the other side, I wonder how many of the people in my life are currently in the same situation but just not reaching out.

to 15:08 - we still have student loans to pay off but they're manageable and not overwhelming us anymore.

Congrats OP! You have helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm currently racking up student loan debt while I pursue a master's degree and it seems so hard to imagine myself gainfully employed and debt free......

Congratulations OP, you have been through a very rough passage and us anons recognize how tough that was, and how hard it has been to get through. Kudos!

Congrats, OP. We were in a similar situation several years ago, could not express how happy we were at the end because we never let anyone know how bad it was. I totally know how you feel. Rock on!

I'm very happy for you OP. Saving a whole salary is a prudent and wise decision. I think one day you'll likely look back on this time as a turning-point for your family. I hope everything works out well for you.

Congrats, OP. I'm sure it was doubly difficult to deal with not being able to really talk about it.

Treat yourself. You've earned it.
