I think too high -- 3.5 or more -- would be too much for almost anyone in a job interview situation.

I'm 5'10" and very often wear a 3inch heel. For an interview I've always wore high heels. I love towering over the interviewer. It automatically puts you at a evolutionary advantage.

I'm 5'10 in bare feet, and when I interviewed for the job I have now I went somewhat out of my way to find non-frumpy shoes with a kitten heel. However, that was a WHILE ago now, when kitten heels were fairly common. Now is seems like dress shoes are either flats, casual wedges, or 3"+ in height.
So... in a random poll, what do you think? Would wearing a plain black pump that put me over six feet tall be OK? Should I start now to try to find a shorter pump, with say a 1"-1.5" heel? Should I go with flats and a pants suit instead of skirt and heels? Does it really even matter in the long run?
