We took a trip. Also took a trip for the 15th. It was a long weekend type thing. We got our parents to watch the kids.
We used to follow those anniversary gift cards - the ones that say things like 1 yr - paper, 3 yrs - leather - and that sort of thing. At some point we stopped. I think we hit a year with something really odd, skipped it and just never got back to it. I kind of miss it because it was a little bit of a challenge to come up with something that fit the "rule".
I still wish I had done a watercolor painting for 1, but I didn't think of it until later.
