Students in 2nd grade are given the mClass test (which is the same idea, just administered on a Palm Pilot and reported centrally) three times per year: Fall, Winter (January) and Spring (May). The level on your child's report card should not be the same level that your child was tested at in September during the mClass window. It will reflect the current level at which your child is reading instructionally (with guidance from the teacher) based on the teacher's data from reading group.
That is interesting. Can they move reading groups not based on mclass?
