If his son was there and truly not drinking, I'm pretty impressed. He was probably one of the few. And if he didn't run screaming from the room when his Dad walked in, I'm doubly impressed. I'm no fan of Landon or Gansler, but I think this is a pretty weak thing to tag him for. 1, the parents who let their kids go to beach week pretty much know whats going on, and 2, wouldn't want their kids arrested. I know of one mother who stocked and handed out beer at her sons rented house. Landon party-it was a very popular spot!

Gansler is toast, he can't keep his name out of the news for a week. 1st the state trooper thing then speeding tickets now this.

Not somethign you want your name in the paper for.

Personally I have always thought he was full of himself the times I have met him. Even if he wasn;t in politics I would not want to be around him.

As someone considering Landon, I am concerned that the school can't escape its reputation (see link: http://mag.newsweek.com/2010/05/11/sticks-stones-and-scandal.html).

1. Yes, the article says it was a Landon party.
2. No, I suspect it will not damage Landon's reputation -- high school kids having parties with alcohol is quite standard, and the "beach week" phenomenon seems to be as well (remember the movie "American Pie"?). (Put me in the "recipe for disaster" camp, though.)
3. Is this the kind of thing -- photo of the Maryland AG at a party with underage drinking (or shirtless kids drinking soft drinks from red solo cups, lol) -- that can "stick" to a candidate though? Maybe.
4. Remember when the Bullis people were saying "nobody would start a post like this about Landon or Sidwell"? Lol.
