Chorizo and Lentil Stew. Sautee and onion and some bell pepper and garlic, when soft add some chorizo to the pot and brown it. When this is done, add 2 cups of chicken or beef broth, a can of diced tomatoes, the canned lentils, a can of cannellini beans and bring to a boil. Yum!

This. Purée after cooking to make it more chowder like. Yum.

Yeah I don't see why you need to do anything differenty with them. Make your normal recipe but rinse the lentils very well and add them close to the end of cooking.

Drain them and rinse them in water and let sit to dry out a bit. In one pan, saute an onion with garlic ( I usually use 3 cloves) until fragrant and onions have started to turn golden. Squeeze in juice of half a lemon (or more depending on your like for lemons) and add in lentils. Stir in plain greek yogurt and then mix that in with some rice or fettuccine.

This sounds great. To be clear, I am seeking suggestions on how to prepare them. I do intend to eat them

It is really good. I've done it with both dry and canned lentils (I too learned to be specific if DH does grocery shopping). Not a HUGE difference in the two, just make sure you REALLY rinse the lentils before using them.
