OP,
Step away from google. Mine twitches very once in a while. Sometimes for a day. I'm healthy, don't have Tay Sachs etc. mention it at your next physical/eye exam but don't stress out.

It means you are tired.

I too have had extended periods of eye-twitching throughout my life. Always seems to come around when things are particularly stressful and I have not had adequate sleep. If it is really troubling you, consult your GP.... I avoid consulting Web MD or anything like that for ailments.... doing so can cause a lot of angst when there is really nothing to fret over.

I get that when I'm really tired or stressed, although not for a week at a time. Let us know the outcome, OP!

Haha so I had this - my upper or lower lids would twitch around on and off. I talked to other people who have it when they're tired or whatever - and i haven't died/been diagnosed with a brain tumor or anything. Also haven't had it happen in a long time.

OP here - I am so hoping it is just the need for reading glasses, but geez louise, never start googling about ALS. I mean, someone has to get it, and there does have to be a first symptom, right?

Maybe I will make an eye appt. before I make an appt. for a complete (and overdue) physical.

For me it happens when I'm overtired, stressed, staring at the computer too long, or have not been eating enough veggies. Seriously, step away from the computer.

It could be the first symptom of a horrible migraine. BTDT.

This happens to me periodically, usually on and off for a few weeks or days. I think i remember reading that it's a symptom of adult onset tay Sachs disease. So you probably have that.

It can also be a sign of stress

Yes, I needed reading glasses.

My eyelid started twitching when I read this!

But it's probably stress or a vitamin deficiency.

Yes. You are going to die.

Eventually.

Okay, I should never consult Dr. Google, but I have had a left eyelid twitch on and off for a week and while there are lots of benign causes,

I also read that it can be the very first symptom of ALS (Lou Gerhig's disease - OMG) or MS or Parkinsons (also OMG but a slower march to death) or Mythas Gravis (terrible spelling sorry)..

Does anyone have any experience with an eyelid twitch.
