We narrowed our choices down to Kitchenaid and Maytag, as they both have the built-in disposer option. Other brands did not seem to have this. So far, we are pleased. It cleans the dishes really well. Drying, not so much. Not sure if there is some setting that might do a better job than we are getting. Everything is wet when I open it in the AM. I thought the stainless steel tub would help with this, but really no better drying than our previous GE with a plastic tub. We don't really care that much, though. Pretty quiet. Only thing we are not liking is the thumping of the water pipes that happens when the thing starts. Seems like this could be a problem over time, but we are not really sure what to do about it. So, overall, I recommend it, but you are really focused on complete drying, I don't think this is the one for you.
The thumping may be due to water pressure you can get this with the right fitting

PP here. Thanks for this, but this link goes to the general lighting page on amazon. What exactly should we be looking for? A water pressure regulator?

Ours was so loud I could hear it changing cycles from my bedroom on a different floor, it didn't clean glasses well. Whe the spring broke after one year, we happily trashed it for a Meile.
