Would you expect to have to cook dinner for six teenage girls every Friday night?

Um (as you would say), you're the mom everybody hates, right?

Sloppy joes are a big hit here. Sometimes around 1-2pm I will throw a bag of frozen meatballs and 2 jars of sauce into the crockpot and get a few packages of buns for meatball subs. Last weekend I was super low on groceries so I just made about 50 pancakes and 2 dozen eggs...it was a surprisingly big hit.

Taco ideas:

You could also make BBQ sandwiches with the pulled pork. Pair with some cole slaw.

OP, I think it's cool that your kids and their friends hang out regularly.

How about letting them shop and cook you and DH dinner since they are 4-6 of them and 2 of you? And if they're there from 3 in the afternoon, they have more than enough time to go to the store and whip up a really nice dinner for everyone.

Grilled italian Sausage with onions and peppers
Spagetti with meat sauce
Grilled chicken in pita bread with tzatziki sauce
Pulled pork sandwich with cut up veggies dipped in ranch
Fajitas, chips and salsa

I do think your son should help plan the meal and help cook or clean or both.

I am finding that on fridays I tend to have a group of 4-6 teen boys hanging out at my house from about 3-8. Given the time, I need to make dinner and am happy to do so -- I just don't know what to cook. I've done pizza a few times, homemade mac n cheese, chipotle. I am thinking about tomorrow!

For family dinner, I do more traditional. Tonight was just chicken and asparagus as my guys tend to want only carbs so some nights I go low-carb. For fridays, I don't care; I will feed the gang and then dh and I eat by ourselves

Any ideas would be helpful.
