Yes, this is the only thing our vet warned us about. And it was useless. He and the other kitten (who was spayed earlier) rampaged through the house. Even when we locked them in a small room at night to limit the jumping, they rolled around and played rough. He healed fine anyway. The biggest annoyance was the Elizabethan collar he had to wear to keep from licking. He discovered how to get out of it so we were constantly putting it back on. Also, we had to remove it so he could eat and drink because he couldn't reach the bowl otherwise. But he did fine.
