Business-wise. She hires smart people and follows their advice. Lana Turner did the same thing and died a rich woman.

OP, I totally agree with you on all points. Love The Essentials. Drew sounds like an idiot. I think I can see (kind of) Robert Osborne rolling his eyes at some of her commentary.

I loved her work in Poison Ivy.

She is very foolish.

Drew Barrymore has been the guest programmer with Robert Osborne on TCM's "The Essentials" series (every sat night at 8...great series).

She has rich hollywood provenance. But she sounds like a complete airhead when introducing and discussing a film and it's magnified being sat across from Robert Osborne.

I hope they get someone like Jodie Foster or Meryl Streep as the programmer for next year.
