This. But only hated Subday evenings. But I also had a low grade depression (dysthymia). OP any chance you are depressed?

I don't dislike Sundays, but Sunday nights can be despressing. I enjoy having fun with friends, having children over to our home, going out to lunch or dinner on a whim, watching movies. I like my job, but am looking forward to quitting one day. I feel like life is too short to work - DH loves his job and makes good $$$, so he can take over the lion's share of $$ as far as I'm concerned.

How old are your kids, OP? Is it because they are teenagers and don't want to do stuff?

I love Sundays (and Saturdays) ... there's not enough time to really talk to each other during the week. There's a bit of time for doing stuff together and time to do your own thing (my kids are 6 and 8). I think it sounds really sad if you don't like them. But, as you are probably aware, it sounds like you have trouble switching gears. Can you think of something you'd enjoy doing with your family?

I used to hate Sundays when I worked, because I so dreaded my job and Monday was creeping around again.

I think it's normal to feel that way. Morrissey wrote about it years ago-- Every day is like Sunday/Every day is silent and gray.

You have to get a hobby or an interest and leave the house!

OP you are really high strung. You don't sound very mentally stable.

I have always disliked Sundays and worked on Sundays whenever the opportunity arose.

Wow, no. I love Sundays. Church, hang out with family, household chores. I get mad whenever people plan big things for Sunday because it is my day to unplug from the world and recharge.

Maybe you should start a family tradition, if you dont go to church, like a hike or volunteer work together. That way you can be together as a family but still be out and doing things.

Anyone else this way?

I have a pretty high powered position and work like a maniac all week (but love it) have 3 kids in school, a husband who is a lawyer and works like crazy too...I mean I love my family of course but Sundays have come to be my most dreaded day! I can be restless so this might be a part of it, I have hard time with all the slowing down and the pause in life. Just curious how many others feel this way about Sundays in particular

Similar lifestyle as you and I have a love/hate relationship with Sundays. Love them because we usually have some really fun family or parents-only event scheduled and I hate them because I stress towards the end of the day to get all of the "prep" done for the following week. We have a parents-only mud run scheduled for this weekend and next, we have family events scheduled for the following few weeknds. But, I also prep clothes, food, schedules, etc for the week on Sunday so it can be a little stressful if I don't get everything done.

I love Sundays for all the reasons you hate them. I feel like I'm suffocating by the time everyone gets to bed on Saturday night. Are you an extrovert? I am very much an introvert. Interesting because it sounds like we have similar lives but the opposite reaction.

Funny I am not a fan of Sundays either. My H and sons watch football all day and I have nothing to do so normally garden or go to Barnes and Noble or to a movie.....not my favorite day.
