I should add, this advice is from my sibling who is a doctor. She also says many short people have trouble with their weight because they don't understand how much less they are supposed to be eating. You can eat 100 calories for every additional inch. So if you are surrounded by taller family members and coworkers, you may think, "but I don't eat any more than they do!" Well yeah, but you are short, so you can't eat as much if you want to be thin.
Having said all this, 5'2 and 125 doesn't sound like terrible stats to me. Is your bmi 24 or below?
