^ I stopped using meds 6 years ago because I was pregnant and then breastfeeding. Haven't gone back because it's mostly under control by minimizing triggers.

The Aveeno products seemed to help a bit. The biggest triggers for me are sun and alcohol. If I minimize those, my skin is 10000x calmer.

i was diagnosed with Rosacea 15 years ago and used topical Metrogel for 6 years. not sure if they still prescribe that but it kept my skin in check. i now use nothing and my skin is in great shape.
i actually kind of wonder if i didn't really even have rosacea since i don't have ongoing problems...
anyway, i agree with PPs to use topical medication.

I have used diluted apple cider vinegar with success. Also, if I drink a ridiculous amount of water (like way more than I would normally want to) it gets better. Some people use aloe, but it can be an irritant for others so try a small area and see what happens. You can also get salicylic acid pads or peels on Amazon - they work for some.

Treat it with medicine and shame on your dermatologist. I would find another dermatologist. If left untreated rosacea can cause permanent scarring.

The only "non-medical" treatments I use are keeping my face cool when I workout with a fan and with putting my cold water bottle on my face or putting a cold, wet towel on my face. Also, I keep my face out of the sun. I wear a hat and use lots of sunscreen.
As PP said, why not try an actual medicine? I have had great success with Finacea. It's a topical cream. I put a pea-sized amount on my skin once a day.

You are going about this wrong.
Rosacea, true rosacea, is a medical condition. The capillaries under the cheeks and nose are damaged and they leak blood into the surrounding tissue. Why wouldn't you consider a medical treatment for a medical problem?
Masques are for split ends -- which are not a disease like rosacea is.

I went to the derm and got vitamin c and creme for hyper pigmentation. It's been 2+ weeks and my skin looks worse than when I started. Red, sweaty = not good.
I'm considering going back to what I was doing before. I'm interested in getting marajuca oil that I've read is great for rosacea sufferers. Prior to derm recommendations I was using rose hip seed oil which I actually felt was making my skin better. I'm looking for others' non medicated suggestions. Cremes, wash, masques etc. Tia!
