I'm not sure but one thing our private school looks at is behavior. There is no way that they would take a problem child. If you have a good child who had a lapse of judgment you might be able to explain it away.

OP again-I meant DH and I supported it. (Although DS acknowledged that it was a reasonable consequence, so I guess one could say DS supported it too!)

DS is applying to private schools. In the past he had been suspended. (Which DS and I supported completely, and which taught him an important lesson.) He's put that behind him but obviously isn't keen for prospective schools to know. If the schools request transcripts, is it only grades, or is it the entire file? And related question: if prospective schools see the suspension, should he even bother applying or will he be categorically rejected? Our public option is okay but he has his heart set on one particular private with an arduous application process and would rather not go through with it if his chances are very low. FWIW, he is a good fit for the school. TIA.
