OP here.
I have two children, one with SN and one who is NT. The NT child was getting 100% positive and I wound up needing to go in for a conference because she wasn't handing her homework in. If Dojo had been used correctly I would have known before the conference that there was an issue. The crazy kid spends an hour or two a night doing her HW but for some reason wasn't handing it in. Seriously, I have n clue what her motivation was for that, but we talked about it and it is no longer an issue.
My SN child has come home with 0% positive on more occasions than I care to admit. He's not a bad kid but he's very easily distracted and completely shuts down when his teacher yells at him. For him it's demoralizing and it kills the little bit of self esteem he has. I've spoken to parents of NT kids who feel the same way and we have all addressed it with the administration.
I went as far at to review it on their FB page but they deleted my comments and the only other way to contact Class Dojo is through snail mail. It seems crazy to me that a company with this kind of an app doesn't accept emails or phone calls. It just seems a little shady to me.

One of my son's teachers uses this. I think it depends on the user, honestly. His teacher made a point of noting the positive as well as the negative, and only reports when something is worth mentioning. This is middle school, BTW.

As a former teacher, it sounds time consuming and not worth it. I'd rather as a teacher and parent have energy go into establishing relationships with the kids.

I assume it is helpful for creating a paper trail about behavior. So parents can't say they didn't know there was problem. If you get a negative report does it trigger something more, such as a meeting with the teachers?
My kid's school uses it and we've only received positive points. If suddenly there were a negative report I would want to know what happened.

This has got to be the worst way to monitor behavior. It seems as if the negative is what is highlighted because that's what prompts the teachers to comment. The positives are often lost or left out completely.
