Not necessarily true. My DD still had a back tooth that looked pretty vulnerable to a cavity forming. Since the tooth probably wasn't going to fall out anytime soon, the dentist sealed it to protect it. It's quite common to seal baby teeth especially since cavities can set in quickly and, if that cavity is not treated, the infection and damage can go to the root and become a bigger and more painful problem.
The unfortunate thing was most insurance companies won't cover it so it was an out of pocket expense.

Go into the office, say your switching dentists (or that you're moving out of the area) and need your son's records for the new dentist.
That should have the info about which teeth have sealants.

This may seem like a stupid question ....
I want to change dentist for my son. Will the new dentist be bale to see which teeth have sealants and which don't? Since I certainly can't see the difference ....
