The middle makes me laugh out loud-
I haven't seen it this seeason but its basically like Roseanne (the set up-no one is like Roseanne Barr).
Portlandia is hilarious when it gets it right.
Brooklyn nine nine might get there and be hilarious.
On another note- I watched mom last week and I couldn't stand the laugh track-that really ruins a show.

Nothing will ever be as good as Mary Tyler Moore. Well, maybe Seinfeld. But that's it.

Nothing recent excites me. I like some HBO shows, curb your enthusiasm and off beat stuff on adult swim, Comedy Central and IFC.

I liked your list except for Friends.

Nothing is better or more fun than "I Love Lucy" (imo!) Also, does "The Brady Bunch" count as a sitcom? I loved that....and "Married with Children." Otherwise I am not a big sitcom fan, especially with present-day sitcoms. Oh year,,,,and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is hilarious, too!

I saw The Odd Couple with Jack Klugman and Tony Randall recently, and I couldn't stop laughing!

OP here. I caught some reruns of Modern Family earlier today and they were quite funny. I've never seen that show before so maybe I should give it a shot.

I don't think I can even name a current sitcom.

...I'll add Family Ties and Growing Pains to the list. Those were my favs growing up. And agree with Seinfeld and Raymond as an adult.

Mad About You and Frasier were hilarious.

Well out of your list, i only like Friends, Seinfeld (although it gets on my nerves after awhile) and The Cosby Show. Friends was a big part of my preteen/teen years.

I also like to watch reruns of Married with Children. The only current sitcom that I really enjoy is Modern Family

I feel like some of these new sitcoms around these days are just not funny. They try to be, but to me they are not. They don't make me laugh out loud like some of my old favorites. Some of my standbys are:

Friends
King of Queens
Seinfeld
Everybody Loves Raymond
Roseanne
The Cosby Show

Are there any recent or new sitcoms you can recommend that are as funny as my old favorites?
