OP here. Thanks all... I have been to several of these listed but some were ones I had been wanting to try and forgot about.

There was a 6:30 p.m. weekday Komi reservation available, so I am letting my spouse decide if he wants to eat that early or not. If not, the suggestions above gave some really good alternatives.

Thanks again!

Citronelle closed long ago, and isn't coming back.

Don't know if you can get in at Komi or Restaurant Eve, but if you can, do.

Vermilion is lovely. So is walking around Old Town afterward if you do that or Eve.

Or you could go to the steakhouse at the W, walk around the White House/Lafayette afterward, then drinks and dessert at the W rooftop bar.

I've heard Quill at the Jefferson is very nice, but haven't been.

All where you can get in.

You could try Little Serow if you have a couple hours to wait on line and family style very spicy Thai food sounds fun.

We are relocating soon and I am in mindset of taking advantage of all the DC area offerings before we leave. I have a birthday coming up and my husband has asked me where I want to go to dinner. Assume that budget is not an issue, however the kicker is that we want a Friday or Saturday night in 3 weeks so places like Inn at Little Washington is a non-starter.

Suggestions?
