An AMH of 1 is low for 35, but not terrible in absolute terms. Consider doing IVF with genetic testing on all your embryos and if you want multiple kids, consider doing multiple cycles now to freeze embryos for future use when your statistics might be far worse.

A friend of mine also got pregnant naturally with an amh around .6. I believe she was 34 at the time. Her RE told her she needed IVF and the cycle before she was due to start meds she found out she was pregnant.

Also, think about what you really want out of this process and how much time and money you have to spend. I had an AMH of .4 at 34. Tried IVF three times and it didn't work. Luckily we had enough money to do DE IVF and it worked the first time. I have the most amazing baby boy. I wish that I hadn't wasted time and money on regular IVF since the chances of it working were so low. I realized after that I am totally fine with having used donor eggs and I wish that I had just gone for it at the beginning. Although, then I wouldn't have the specific kid that I have now, so I guess things are meant to happen for a reason. We are going to do DE IVF again next year to get a sibling. Everyone has his or her own feelings about using a donor and it isn't for everyone, but really think about whether or not you personally care about DNA. Our long struggle with infertility took a toll on many areas of our lives. I kick myself now that I didn't move to DE sooner and prevent a lot of the damage that years of unsuccessful treatment did to my life.

Nobody has mentioned DHEA yet. I am just starting it. My sister used it and recommended it to me - she feels it made the difference. her son was born in february.

I have low ovarian reserve and am currently pregnant. My AMH was .02, FSH 18 at one point, follicle count of 3. I tried natural cycle ivf just because it was cheaper and it worked the first time. I know it's all a lot of money but I don't think you would regret trying. It's all just labs results...if you have an egg it could work!

It was a lot of pills, but something worked. Honestly, I think it was probably the diet changes more than the supplements (especially the refined sugar/gluten). But who knows.

If you can afford the time and expense, look into IVF with Cornell or CCRM. The local stats for DOR patients is not good. That said, I don't think AMH of 1 is particularly dire.

I just got pregnant naturally with an AMH of <0.16. Cleaned up my diet (no dairy, soy, gluten, refined sugar, processed foods, caffeine, or alcohol) and took every supplement under the sun linked to improved egg quality. It worked within a few months. I was doing it to prepare for cycling with CCRM, which is now happily unnecessary.

I have low ovarian reserve and got twins on the first IVF. 7 eggs total. 2 transferred and 1 frozen. I did have one round of stims that was cancelled because I was not responding. I think I have 3 follicles. I was 35 too.

My AMH was around .4 at age 37; IVF worked on the first try. Don't fret!

I think your AFC is more illustrative of success. My AMH was 1.2 last year and my AFC was between 16-20. This year my AMH is 1.1.atmy last/second ivf my AFC was 12. I did get pregnant on my second IVF.

I got pregnant naturally 6 months after my AMH was tested at .30 when I was 34.
I got pregnant on my first IVF with an AMH of <.01 at age 37. Yes, I cried in the RE's office when he told me to go to adoption or DE. I said that I wanted to try IVF, and he agreed. When it worked he told me that he had about a 1/2dozen other women with <.01 AMH either have kids or currently pregnant from NC IVF.
It is possible. Please don't give up hope.

I am 35 too with low ovarian reserve, about 0.7. My doctor said I still have chances of getting pregnant with IVF since AMH is only one of the many factors. I have had failed IVFs so far, so I don't have an answer to your question. On fertility forums I have seen women getting pregnant with IVF with as low as 0.1 AMH. Good luck to you (and me)!!!

is there any hope that IVF will work? i hate to spend all of the time and money and anxiety on going through ivf if there isn't good reason to think that it will work.
my doctor says we should try ivf. while i trust him overall, it's in his best financial interest for me to go through ivf.
so, do any of you have success stories for low ovarian reserve? if so, how many rounds of ivf did it take?
