OP here, I switched to the Rainbow Lights and everything is okay now. I've been taking them 2 weeks with no breakout and no headaches. We were using the NFP method before TTC, so there was no medication change except the cheap CVS brand prenatal vitamins. I guess you get what you pay for.

Many have problems with pre-natal vitamins. Our practice recommended Flintstone children's vitamins if we couldn't tolerate regular pre-natals. But the key really is folic acid - if you can take that, you should be fine without regular vitamins (and if your diet it full of folic acid, you should be fine regardless).

I loved New Chapter PreNatals. I switched to them because the pills my OBGYN prescribed made me nauseous.

What kind of birth control were you using before TTC? It may have been keeping you from getting headaches and breakouts connected to your cycle.

I really love the prenatal vitamins by Rainbow light and New Chapter. They seem to have the least amount of side effects for me, especially New Chapter.

Nope. Not talking anything, but starting to wonder if I should POAS. I just had my period, but stranger things have happened.

Headaches and breakouts could come from progesterone. Are you taking anything different besides a prenatal?

Try the prenatal gummies. I take two of the Target brand daily.

No. I don't generally take vitamins because they make me nauseous. Ive been taking these at night because i heard it was les likely to make me nauseous, but the headaches come during the daytime.

Did you take a regular daily multivitamin before? If so, just go back to taking it. My OB said I didn't need to take prenatals b/c I had a healthy diet. She said prenatals are really an insurance policy for people who don't eat well.

We are TTC #1. I started taking a generic prenatal vitamins at the suggestion of my primary care doctor and have been suffering headaches and now a pimple break out. The breakout is one thing, but the headaches are making it hard to function, so these vitamins are going in the trash. Has anyone had experience with this and found a brand of vitamin that didn't give you headaches or acne? TIA.
