Bellissimo Restaurant definitely! Food exquisite- across from Historic Old Town Hall. We went before the Opera at George Mason Center for the Arts and they gave us a discount!

Bellissimo is the best by far in that area- food awesome and gorgeous decor- beautiful.

We always go to Bellissimo Restaurant right in the heart of Fairfax City on Main Street. It's unbelievable food- upscale Italian- and the environment will make you feel like you are in Italy- wonderful murals on the walls. It is our "special night" place.

Where in Fairfax? There is the often recommended 2941 in Falls Church. Depending how fancy you want, Trummer's on Main is nice too.
