I have never seen fresh pork pies in the US. If you find a source, tell me!

Have you checked out the food aisles at World Market? They have a lot of imported stuff (although shelf-stable only).

Thanks for the pastitsio tip. I made it once. It took all day, messed every pot I owned and tasted fantastic. The clean up session afterwards is not something I wish to repeat at eight months pregnant :LOL:
