I thought you were going to say that you wanted to break-up with him (I would if I ever had dated someone that clingy and did) but then I was confused about you spending $$$ on a ring for him? It seemed like maybe you came here to get relationship advice. Mine would be to end it and find someone less insecure but since you just got him that ring it makes me think maybe you don't want this to end and certainly it sends a strange message if you do want it to be over soon? This won't get better. Sounds like it will drag on and be very upsetting for both when it ends but it's not healthy.

Yes! I was serious when I wrote that. We talk on the phone all day when we are not together since he lives in Baltimore. I am a nanny and don't text/call him until the kids are napping. When he's at work, he's texting me every 5 mins to see if I am bored.

Okay, ladies, my boyfriend and I just hit out 6 month anniversary on the 23rd. He sent me an article on how to be a good girlfriend, when in reality it was for him.. He's super needy and attached!! I can't take a shower longer than 5 mins, of I want alone time, he thinks I'm cheating so he calls every 10 minutes and then eventually starts texting me a million times. I can't ever relax and enjoy a book because it takes too long for him. I am studying for the GRE, he thinks that should only takes 30 mins. He hasn't even gone to college so the idea of studying for the GRE doesn't even exist in his mind(we're both 22) so everything the article stated was for him !! So being sarcastic, I sent him an article on being a better boyfriend and the 1st thing was sending your girlfriend flowers so he immediately asked for my address to get it correct and ever since Sunday, he kept saying u have a gift coming, u have a gift coming on Wednesday, I can't wait for u to get it etc... Yeah, it's sweet but he's been talking about it ever since he ordered the flowers that it doesn't feel special. They were just delivered and they are nice and I love them, but with all the talk about them for the past 3 days.. I don't care for them. I sound so selfish and unappreciative, but I bought him a diamond band ring, just because and he has no idea that it will be arriving to his home.. It will be a real surprise.! He doesn't know I got the flowers yet but I will text him later.. Just don't know how to sound surprise without being overly fake lol
