Huh. I've always had perfectly fine service at the Dupont location. I used to go fairly regularly on Sunday mornings with my toddler before the market, and the staff there were so sweet to him.

I like it because you get proper china (so of course the sit-down service would be more expensive, since you get served, and they have to wash your dishes).

It's too expensive for what you get. I buy their jarred jams and spreads occasionally, but we don't eat there anymore. We never had problems with the service though.

I like the downtown one for lunch once in a while but it is a little expensive for what you get.

Never been, and never will go after all this. Maybe they'll go out of business soon.

I think its completely overpriced for what you get. They charge more for baked goods at the table than to-go. When I asked why they said because you get butter and jam at the table. However, you then have to ask your waiter to bring it over to you, so its not a given. I would much rather go to Corner Bakery or even Panera.

Funnny -- the Bethesda/Friendship Heights location also has awful awful service. They are rude and ignore you.

I love that kind of casual food but franly, it's stuff I can make or assemble myself so I don't go there anymore.

I've had a waiter refuse to give me menus at the bethesda row location. Flat out refused because I got up to ask for them during a very busy morning. Another waitress told me, please sit down ma'am. Never ask for menus there. They'll treat you like you're packing.

I've had great service at Tysons and horrible, horrible service at Mosaic (waiter was telling me about his sex life including toys, multiple partners at once, etc.).

Why is the service so awful at both bethesda locations? I want to like this place so bad. I've had vile vile service though. Anyone else relate?
