GU is under constant pressure from the neighborhood to cap student numbers. Any move from main campus is related to that pressure.

interesting - b/c I don't think anyone thinks GW or AU's brand is cheapened by having the MV or Tenleytown location.

I don't know about a campus, but I heard they were thinking of housing some students in Clarendon.

GU should have bought the Mount Vernon campus. How they let GW get that I will never know.

I haven't heard anything about setting up another one in VA. However, what would be the big deal...I suspect it wouldn't be too far out in VA and would simply be for a specific program and most likely a graduate program. The main campus isn't going anywhere!

Georgetown moved its School of Continuing Studies downtown (near Chinatown). They've branded it "Georgetown Dowtown."

Can this be true.....Georgetown types lowering themselves to move to VA!?
What are the chances?

No one is moving to Virginia. A satellite campus would be an extension (not a move) of the brand into the economic heart of the region. The law school was moved into an area that made sense, but wasn't exactly an attractive location at the time.
