I would let parents know your home address ahead of time. Many families come late or may cancel due to rain. If they know you have a plan b, they will still come.

PP with 2yo and 4yo. My kids just love plying with another kid's toys.

How many kids are you expecting?

We had our son's 3rd birthday at the house. The kids loved helium balloons. We bought a bouncy house for the occasion but I think the kids would have been fine without it.

You may want to get one of those pull piñatas.

Aww. Poor kiddo. Is there are small community rec building at the park? If so, you might be able to rent it if you hustle to Parks and Rec tomorrow. If not, with such a small group of kids, I would do a party at the house with rainy day themed games.
Clear some space, have kids race to see who can put on their rain boots, rain coats the fastest.
Have kid's cut out and color or fingerpaint images of clouds and umbrellas (just print out from computer).
Play pin the raindrop on the cloud (again, print stuff out)
If the parents are cool with it, put on raincoats and boots and splash in a few puddles (as long as it's not a total downpour).
Have fun!

Move it to your house. Get some paper plates, glue a tongue depresser or other stick to the plate, and have them bat around some blown up balloons. Pick up some stickers and visors or something they can decorate at Michael's. You can buy one of those rainbow parachutes at World Market. Play freeze dance with some fun music.

For my dd's 3 year bday, I just did a playdate birthday party. The kids came, played with dd's toys, we ate, and they left. I was new to her food allergies, and didn't even have a cake. Everyone might have been polite, but they said it was fun.

We've had this happen a few times... poured at the park and we all huddled under the shelter, poured at the house and we all crammed into our small house (that was twice)... this year in July it lightly rained and as soon as it stopped we sent all the kids into the soggy backyard. So frustrating and I feel your pain. Next weekend we're having our first party at an indoor place that does parties - I know that doesn't help you now but it is such a relief that I think we'll probably do it for one of the kids parties each year.
