OP again. This is it, I'm in head exploding territory. I'm going to talk to the parents about it, but I'm not sure how civil I can be...

Ahh, close your windows? Kids adapt, and so can you. I grew up in Warsaw. I learned to sleep through construction, neighbors yelling, my parents banging pans in the kitchen at 6 am making breakfast.

I hope you can be civil. I understand your frustration. But please here your neighbors out, and don't go in with the attitude you have now.

That would be "hear," lest you discount my advice because English isn't my first language.

Please approach this situation gently. My brother hit golf balls off of our neighbors house once we got to the states. He thought he was hitting an abandoned brick building. Not somebody's house.

Uh....we regularly sleep til 7:30 here (not OP). Mom of a 2 and 4 yo and to working parents. I'd just ask that they cut it out til 7:30 or so. And be nice about it.

I agree. The Pam Pam Pam of the basketball can be pretty loud.
Talk to their parents maybe?

Put a note on the basketball hoop's pole saying that neighbors are still sleeping and you would greatly appreciate if they could find something quieter to do until at least 7:30 on week-day mornings.

That is extreme. Seven days a week?
