At a career fork in the road and would appreciate any insight from people with knowledge of pharma.

My experience:
Experience working as a marketing manager
Graduated from two top science schools (BS, unfinished PhD)
Worked in research abroad (Asia)
Worked 1+yr in pharma sales

I'd like to be on the marketing / business strategy side of a pharmaceutical company, but feel I lack the experience for most positions I see posted. What are the foot-in-the-door positions?
