Maybe you should hope and pray she outgrows it.

If you want real prep, forget the Ivies. You want SLACs like Williams, Trinity, Babson, Connecticut, Kenyon, Lake Forest, Wellesley, Haverford, and W&L - mostly hard to get into, but not quite as likely to excite the relatives back in Korea and therefore still mostly WASPy. [/quote]

Agree with above list but Williams think Amherst might be a preppier choice and the others on the list as well.. Also Wesleyan and Vanderbilt

Wow.

My DD wants exactly the opposite -- no Greek scene and minimal preppies (but very strong academics). I'm glad to see this list because it confirms her choices, which are not on this list.

This is not meant as a criticism of OP. Its good to know what kind of culture you want in a school.

The preppy life style is all about avoiding that, except for junior year abroad.

Vanderbilt and W&L; not Davidson

Villanova minus the Greek scene.

Who are you? The prep police? I think if anything her posting here anonymously makes more sense than having to actually ask that question. Now that we cleared that up OP. Here are some suggestions

Princeton
UVA
UNC- Chaplel Hill
Vanderbilt
Yale

Good luck and go pink and green

Princeton and Dartmouth in the Ivies - the rest are actually not that preppy, more nerdy/urban.

Most of the NESCAC schools are preppy but lack the greek scene.

Schools like Wake Forest, UNC Chapel Hill, Davidson, UVA are worth a look.

My daughter is a top student, and a true prep. As we are starting to look into colleges (she s a junior) she wants a school that is an academic fit but also a social fit. She is very social and would love a school with a Greek scene. She has a 4.2 GPA and very very high test scores. So Ivies are not out of the question, she is open to areas from south to northeast (west coast too far). Any suggestions?
