By "competitive" do you mean sitting on the couch, bellowing, swearing, and eating nachos? That sounds great.

It just to be like that and then the kids came. It's really hard to say I'm going to watch football when your son is handing you the football asking to play outside. Especially on a beautiful day.

We've comprised. I plan a lot of play dates with other football widows but when it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. The other thing we do is he goes out for the 2nd half of the night games. The kids are usually in bed and I have some quiet time.

It's a terrible time of year for us. I don't want to self identify, but husband and I are fans of rival teams. We usually spend Sunday trash talking, which leads to a fight about how horrible his team his, when he reminds me of the time his team beat mine in some AFC championship game from eons ago.

It's very stressful, I envy those couples who love the same team and go to games together.

Sigh.

I ended a relationship due to obsessive fantasy football and college basketball watching. I have a nice set of tits and I want to travel, go out and maintain my other relationships. I never regret leaving child-boy behind. He is now a full blown alcoholic, divorced and has no kids.

No he doesn't, but I do on Sundays! I don't care so much about college.

No. DH has no interest in sports.

My husband knows to just leave and let me be when my sports teams are playing. He's a keeper.

A little. I'm the wife and I love to watch NFL football. My husband knows nothing about sports, which I find annoying. We have two young kids and generally don't just have the tv on. But I try to do laundry and bill paying at the same time so it's not totally wasted time.

Yes to that, and then add to it that if his team isn't doing well, he starts screaming and swearing and throwing shit all over the house. From now on, I'm taking my child out of the house or forcing him to go to the bars to watch his game. Last week was the final straw. Opening day and he's already acting like a damn fool.

He doesn't spend that much time watching football, but he does religiously watch one particular college team. It's not a problem time-wise, but I really don't like the side of him on display during those games. He screams and cusses, whether the kids are around or not. It's like he can't control it. It does diminish my esteem for him.

Fantasy football points? Now we have Monday and Thursday night games. Ugh.
