Not really.....the 7th graders could be one year ahead and the sixth graders two years ahead....

Going by your explanation, if there are 5th grade AAP kids taking math with 7th grade AAP kids, you have to wonder if those 7th grade AAP kids qualify to be in AAP.

Well, if you knew those 6th grade math whizzes you wouldn't bother with asking the question.
Don't need to know about the 6th graders. It's those 7th graders that probably don't belong in AAP.

If they took 6th grade math in 5th grade they take 7th grade math in 6th grade. However this assumes they got good grades (or numbers) in the fifth grade and they took and passed the 6th grade math sol.

AAP students are a year ahead in math, so all Level IV students at our school are in 6th grade math (or higher).
