Is your mower a gas mower? If so, get that thinks out of the house!!!

To answer your question, mower is on the shed, tools are on the basement storage room. Outdoor "stuff" (rakes, bikes, shovels , MOWER, sleds, wagon, folding chairs, etc.) is in the shed.

I keep my domestic worker chained up in ours when she's not working.

She doesn't mind though. There's ventilation, and we give her bread and water.

Our dog when we go away for weekends. But, before all of the animal lovers start getting upset, there is a hole in the roof for ventilation and we also leave food and water.

I keep our bikes in the shed with no problem. Seriously, dude, you need to fix your moisture problem.

Seriously, OP, it's a little selfish to clutter the mudroom with your catapult.

I am assuming you don't have a garage. Or a garage that is only big enough for the cars.

We have 3 sheds! They are filled with crap. Plus a garage filled with crap.

Old fertilizer, tools, lawn mower, kids toys, old pots, fish tanks, power tools, camping gear, propane tanks, a catapult, tarps...

You name it - it's in our shed. I like the plastic shed better than the old wooden shed. It seems like we are always patching that shed up (It should have been torn down when we moved in). Based on where you live, sheds just provide an area for animals. Mice are always finding ways into our wooden shed. I didn't mind the fox that burrowed under the wooden shed - kept the mice in check.

Tell your wife if you get a shed it will be great for you to have more room for more stuff. If she is smart, she'll live with having the tools in the house.

Again, why would there be moisture in your shed? Typically there is ventilation at the top for some level of airflow.

Our shed has a lock for security.

Doesn't the moisture in the shed rust/corrode your tools?

Also, all my power tools are electric (sorry, should have mentioned this).

Dont keep anything in there that can be used to break into your house. Ladder and crowbar? Thieves say 'great!'

Snowblower, lawnmower, dirt for gardening and gardening supplies, shovels, rakes, ladder, two bikes (for kids younger than ours), hose, sprinkler, BBQ in the winter, extra petrol for it, etc.

If your shed doesn't leak, your tools won't rust. I keep lawn mower, weed wacker, blower, garden tools, and holiday decorations in my shed. Nothing rusts...I sweep it out a few times a year and that's it. Couldn't imagine keeping that stuff inside (not to mention keeping gas inside the house.)

I keep my tools and lawnmower in a sort of mudroom next to the rear entrance. It's a bit of a hassle to clean them and bring them in/out, but I like that they don't rust in a shed (all tools that I've seen in a shed are rusting or have bits of rust on them).

Wife thinks they belong in a shed (to be honest she just wants that room for something else), but I thought I'd check with folks here to see if I'm missing anything else.

Is there a reason to have things in shed besides moving them out of the house?
